I have not been idle in the past couple of weeks since Little Dagon’s publication. I’m already hard at work on my first full-length novel! Just last night, I finally finished all of my major, minor, and incidental character sketches, along with the final adjustments to each character’s individual arc and the overall story arc. Now begins the fun part: weaving it all together into a single, coherent plot. Thank the heavens for Scrivener!
This new story will also fall under the umbrella of cosmic horror, with a modern approach to Lovecraft’s archaic style. Look forward to a new and endearing cast of characters, an exciting and expansive investigation, plenty of unexpected twists, and, of course, reality-bending horror!
I’m loosely targeting a Q1 2027 release, though as a self-published author, all of my deadlines are self-imposed. Once the plot weaving is done, it’s just a matter of filling the pages with words!
Today, I also woke up to a new milestone. Little Dagon has received its first rating and written review from an external reader. (Five stars!)
In just a couple of short weeks—with minimal promotion and as a first-time author—I can proudly report that just over a dozen copies of Little Dagon have been purchased, and my KENP numbers show that it’s being read through Kindle Unlimited as well.
If you’ve read my work and enjoyed it, I covet your ratings and reviews. They really do help!
